Appointment of Achilles' Regional Director, Asia Pacific – Owen West

April 15, 2009 - On his return to live in Australia, Owen West formerly Regional Director of UK and Ireland, has agreed to fulfill the role of Regional Director, Asia-Pacific based in Brisbane although Owen expects to be visiting Hong Kong regularly. Owen was previously Procurement Manager for Powerlink Queensland, an electricity transmission company. He was also non-executive Director of three other Australian transmission network companies - ElectraNet Pty Ltd, ETS Pty Ltd and ETI Pty Ltd. As well as a strong pedigree in the field of procurement and energy, Owen also has extensive experience in purchasing in the Australian mining industry. “I’m looking forward to the challenge of running Achilles’ Australia and Hong Kong operations,” says Owen, who is now living in Brisbane. Stewart Saunders remains as Regional Chairman based in Hong Kong and adds an enormous amount of senior management experience to the Company.
